Meet the Team at American Home Design!
Don Bruce, founder and CEO of American Home Design, is recognized as a local and national leader in the home improvement industry. In 2008, Mr. Bruce was inducted into the prestigious Legends of the Home Improvement Industry, a distinction awarded by the renowned business consulting firm Dave Yoho Associates. Mr. Bruce and his fellow Legends are home improvement professionals who were selected for induction after sustaining outstanding levels of growth and innovation through a consistent “customer-first” philosophy. That approach to business was the reason Mr. Bruce founded American Home Design in 1977 – to provide his clients the superior customer service they wanted and deserved.
Allan Ross grew up in Memphis, TN and graduated from Memphis State University with a degree in Marketing. Don hired him as a sales representative in December of 1979, and he has been with American Home Design ever since. Allan moved into Sales Management in 1984. He was promoted to Vice-President in 1998 and has been deeply involved in orchestrating the company’s growth and expansion. In January of 2008, Don promoted him to President of American Home Design. Allan manages the day-to-day operations at AHD. He is actively involved in all departments from Installation, Customer Service, Sales, Call Center, Events, Showroom, and Finance.
Terry Anglin grew up in the Nashville area. He is a 1972 graduate of Madison High School. He then attended Volunteer State Community College where he received his Associates degree with a major in business. It was there he met his wife Debbie. They attend the Madison Church of Christ and reside in the Goodlettsville area. Terry came to American Home Design in 1985 as a sales consultant. His primary focus today is still the sales department and those departments associated with it, the Call Center, Showroom, Finance, and Events departments.
Mikele Bruce Goodchild
Mikele (Bruce) Goodchild is Don’s daughter. She was born and raised in the Nashville area and attended Goodpasture High School. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human and Organizational Development. Mikele decided to go to work at American Home Design shortly after graduation. Starting in 2002 as an administrative support in the office, Mikele’s role quickly developed to be focused on recruiting and assisting Don with the marketing. In 2007, she became an officer of the organization and Director of the marketing department. You may recognize her and her English bulldog, Bella from the TV commercials.
Jamee Tamulis grew up in Antioch, TN and graduated with honors from Antioch High School. Jamee has been working in a Call Center environment since she was 15 years old and in the home improvement industry since 18 years old. She came on board with American Home Design as our Call Center Manager in December of 1999 and has continued to be an integral part of both our Call Center and Marketing departments.
Kay Brant grew up in Franklin area. She attended & graduated from Franklin High School. She has been with American Home Design for a combined nine years. Kay started with the company as controller and became an officer in 2000. Her background is in residential construction and as a staff accountant for CPA firms.
